LC103-KB-CR Fixed Hands-Free Crane Cab Communication System
Permanent crane cab communication station with direct-call phone, foot pedal, gooseneck microphone and external horn speaker | Analog · SIP/VoIP · 4G LTE | IP67 · IK10 · NEMA 4X equivalent
The LC103-KB-CR Fixed Crane Cab Communication System is a rugged hands-free communication kit designed for port cranes, gantry cranes, container terminals, ship loaders, heavy industrial cranes and construction applications.
Unlike a portable radio, the LC103-KB-CR provides a permanently installed communication point inside the crane cab for direct contact with a control room, supervisor, maintenance team or emergency destination.
The system combines the LC103-KB industrial telephone, programmable direct-call button, foot-operated control, gooseneck microphone and external horn speaker in one crane operator communication package.
Available in Analog, SIP/VoIP or 4G LTE, it can be integrated with existing plant networks, legacy PBX infrastructure or remote sites without fixed telecom cabling.
Why Use a Fixed Crane Cab Communication System?
Portable radios are often ideal for communication between a crane operator and a moving signal person.
The LC103-KB-CR addresses a different requirement: reliable fixed communication between the crane cab and permanent site communication infrastructure.
Typical advantages include:
- Fixed communication point that remains in the crane cab
- One-touch direct calling to a predefined destination
- Hands-free operation using foot control and gooseneck microphone
- External horn speaker for high-noise environments
- No dependence on handheld radio battery charging
- Integration with SIP PBX, Analog PABX or 4G cellular networks
- Suitable as a dedicated control-room or emergency communication channel
- Radio systems can remain in use alongside the LC103-KB-CR where required
Typical Applications
- RTG / RMG / STS container cranes
- Port and container terminals
- Gantry cranes
- Ship loaders
- Steel plants and shipyards
- Heavy industrial lifting equipment
- Tower cranes and construction sites
- Remote crane installations
Which Version Should I Choose?
SIP / VoIP. Best for ports, container terminals and permanent industrial cranes connected to an Ethernet or SIP network.
Analog. Best for retrofit projects using existing PABX or fixed telephone infrastructure.
4G LTE Best for remote or temporary crane installations where Ethernet or landline infrastructure is unavailable.
Hands-Free Operator Configuration
The standard system can include:
- Rugged LC103-KB telephone
- Programmable direct-call button
- Foot-operated control
- Flexible gooseneck microphone
- External horn speaker
- Optional beacon
This layout allows the operator to communicate while remaining positioned at the crane controls.
